Originally from San Diego, I moved to Coastal Virginia area in the late 90's. Unlike so many people I meet who don't like the weather here; I love it! I love the seasons, that we get just enough snow to have a few days off every winter and build a snowman, and the hot summers full of perfect beach days! I love the ocean and the close proximity to Washington DC and so much more than that. People often ask me how I ever left San Diego, but the truth is, I have never looked back.
I had an interest in real estate from a very young age. I'm naturally a relationship person so getting to pair making a living with helping people elevate their lifestyle and make one of the most important decisions of their lifetime feels like a true win-win.
As far as I'm concerned, real estate is a job I never plan to retire from!
Real estate agent, military spouse, graphic designer and proud mother of two. Dedicated to help my clients reach their real estate goals and dreams.
There is nothing more gratifying than to see my client’s dreams come true. This was the biggest part of my “Why” when I decided to become a Realtor. As a wife and military spouse of seventeen (17) years and mother of two (2) boys, I know the unique challenges that come with buying and selling homes. I am dedicated and passionate about ensuring that the process of selling or buying a house is a stress free and pleasant process. My family and I live and work in North Carolina and Virginia, so it was an obvious choice to become licensed in both states so that I can provide service to my clients where they work, live and play! As a transplant from Puerto Rico I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to reach a greater demographic and impact communities within our area that have gone without a voice in the market. Throughout my many moves with the military, I have been able to obtain my B.A. in Advertising along with an M.A. in Business Administration. My education, dedication, passion and perseverance coupled with a heart towards service and leadership allows me to provide an experience for my clients that is incomparable. My goal is to make, what can often be a very stressful process, a very smooth, exciting and happy memory. Being a part of making your real estate goals a reality is what I do and I pride myself on doing it with excellence. No dream is too big or too small and I love being a partner in this endeavor. Let’s go Vertical together!
Hi I’m Jackie Schuette of Vertical Real Estate. I am originally from California where I went to college to get my nursing degree. Growing up in Hampton Roads with a lender father and agent mother, I'm a passionate product of my environment. Watching my hometown grow and expand was an amazing benefit for someone in my position. While I spent the majority of my life in Virginia Beach, I now live in North Eastern North Carolina and service clients in both states as our areas and industries continue to grown and merge. So many people in our area aren't from here because we are so transient, there are the few that fall in love and stay for extended periods of time but for me this is home and nothing else feels the same. I love that we enjoy all four seasons, that we came from so little and grew to so much, I love our rich history and that we are the true heartbeat of our nation's military, I love that beautiful beaches are a staple necessity of our daily lives and that we are the perfect middle ground between the business of the North and the party of the South. I've enjoyed watching our area explode over the course of my life, I feel like the Seven Cities real estate industry and I grew up together as siblings and I wouldn't want to sell anywhere else. Being a 2nd generation agent, it's just feels like part of who I am and a natural part of my identity. I have a unique perspective and ability to read the markets pulse because of my history here and in our industry and I really enjoy sharing that advantage with my clients as we navigate some of the biggest transactions, investments and relocations of their lives. I'm very lucky to be doing exactly what I was meant to do and I can't wait to work with you!
The experience I had with my Realtors after I sold my first home, was the match that ignited the passion I have carried for all things HOME. My experience superseded every expectation that I had.
Now that I am a Realtor, I know that the same level of patience, service and dedication that I received are all things that I get to bring to each client transaction.
Every house has the potential to be a home and that takes an expert with vision. When my clients looking for new construction need a second opinion on finishes, a first time home buyer wants decorating and organization advice, an investor is looking for a steal of a deal or a seller needs to know the best strategy as to how to how to get their house sold, I bring superior negotiating skills, market knowledge, attention to detail and vison that takes each interaction Vertical.
I have heard that big things come in small packages and I know that this proves true with my level of service, dedication, perseverance, vision and tenacity.
It is always my intention to leave each client feeling the exact same way I felt after I sold my house. Satisfied, Expectations Exceeded and the opportunity for you to know what Making your Next move Vertical feels like!
The two pieces of advice for real estate everyone hears are "location, location, location" and "know somebody." I have lived or worked in every one of Tidewater's 7 cities so I know all the locations and know a lot of somebodies. I want to get to know you too so I can help you with all your real estate needs but first you can get to know a little about me.
I was born and raised in Norfolk and graduated from Granby High and Old Dominion University. I have over 15 years of experience in customer service that included experience in management and negotiation. The trifecta of a promotion, new orders for my wife (naval officer), and the allure of the capital pulled me away to northern Virginia/DC for a few years but when it was time to settle down and start a family coming back down home was the only option. After a short time off for our first born I turned my attention back to my career and real estate and haven't looked back yet.
After being personally involved in multiple real estate transactions as a customer, I understood the value an agent can bring to a client and how positively they can influence the transaction experience. I wanted to be this positive influence and quickly found I had a passion for helping people find houses to turn into homes. I believe trust is earned and it is my job to provide value to my client if I want their trust.
For most people buying property is the single largest purchase they will make in their lifetime and the cornerstone for their families wealth building. I treat each transaction with the care and detail I would expect if it was my own family.
Mike and Shannon live in Suffolk Virginia with their two boys, Dominic (12) and Daniel (8). Their son Collin (29) lives in South Florida and we have two children celebrating eternity in Heaven.

Mike previously worked as a Realtor in Hampton Roads for ten years and has decided to return to the business. Renee is a licensed Real Estate professional in the State of Virginia. Previous to getting her license Renee worked in the Sales and Marketing Arena for over 20 years. After her 1993 graduation from Juniata College in Huntingdon PA, Renee took her first job in Sales with Prudential Securities. From there she moved to the city, Pittsburgh, to pursue her dreams of moving up in the business world. As a Marketing Sales Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Times, Renee learned how to negotiate and create value for her customers on a daily basis.
At this point in her life, Renee was called by the beach! In 1996, VA Beach, VA became her home and her career advancement continued. Renee became the youngest director at Atlantic Bank. She headed up the Marketing and Sales departments.
In 2001 Renee married her husband Steve. Steve was a young military officer at that time and that is when life changed quite a bit for her. After having her first son, the military decided it was time for this little family to move to Connecticut. Renee and Steve went on to have three boys in 3 years, Ben, Kyle and Will.
The military kindly moved the Mongold family back to Hampton Roads in 2005. It was at this time that Renee started her own business; a pottery and art studio in Chesapeake called Potts N Paints. After three successful years of business ownership the call of the military came again. She sold her business and her family of 5 moved to Amelia Island Florida. While in Florida the Mongolds added another son. This time the call was to China and Joshua Song Mongold became the newest member of the family in 2010. Renee Spent her free time in Florida working with Social Services Child and Family Welfare.
Now a family of 6, the US Military called the Mongolds back to Hampton Roads yet again! And this is where they will stay for the long haul. Renee began teaching in the Chesapeake School System upon their return and spent the past few years loving her job as a teacher.
Through all the chapters of her life, the passion for buying and selling homes remained in the forefront of her mind. She knew that as soon as her kids were old enough for her to embark on a demanding career, that real estate was the dream she was driving toward. Ben is now 16, Kyle 15, Will 13 and Josh 11. Renee's husband has found his final resting spot and now it is time to take all of her years of life experience and turn it into the career she has been waiting for!

Hey, I'm Micah!
I'm a native of Castle Rock, Colorado. I moved to the Hampton Roads at the beginning of 2014 for a duty assignment in the navy. Like many of the service members who move to the area, I've found that there are a lot of opportunities here, and I'm excited to be able to share my active duty perspective with potential future clients; both military and non-military.
While I still have five years left in the navy before retirement, I believe it's essential to plan for the future. Real estate is an exciting and interesting career. A mentor of mine (also a REALTOR® in Denver) gave me a great piece of wisdom: "Believe in the vision of clients and customers and, in turn, they'll believe in your ability to make their vision a reality."
Homes are generally the largest asset individuals and families buy or sell, and they're meant to be carefully evaluated for the benefit of the buyer and seller. Because of this, my mission is focused on integrity in the process, professionalism, and always complete honesty.
Vertical Real Estate is my dream job. Not only are the people great and knowledgable, but teamwork shines in the smiles of the firm's customers' faces. Everyone here has everyone's back, and that's the team our customers deserve.
